There’s so much first-rate philosophy fanned out across both Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey, but theirs comes down to this:
The first part… just. Works.
Be excellent to each other (and then after that… party on).
Instead of judging and saying people do stupid shit, or criticising them for not doing things the way you think’s right, fuck it. They’re also just trying to work this whole life thing out.
Sooner or later you’re going to be gone for good, so be good to people. And enjoy this short thing called life and live it the way you want. Better yet though, take the word of the Grim Reaper from Bill & Ted’s, who says it much better:
