The games of the 32nd gloglimpiad are now well underway and here I highlight what makes the gloglympics truly special, the losers. Because as the old famous gloglympics edict goes, it’s not about winning and it’s not about competing it’s about LOSING, and more specifically Being a Big DUMB LOSER.

Today’s What a Loser is: Kosovan judoka Majlinda Kelmendi

At London 2012, Kelmendi LOST in the round of 16 while still competing for Albania and at Tokyo 2020 she LOST even worse, this time in the first round. Yeesh…

WHAT! A! LOSER!*

*She did win Kosovo’s first ever gold medal at Rio 2016 which was incredible and overwhelming and couldn’t have happened to a cooler person and a momentous occasion for a young war-torn country still recovering from years of turmoil and bloodshed and blah blah blah but whatevs ya know SEE YA bye
