Why is there ‘life’? Can you think of anything more fucking remarkable than biological life in itself?

I’m in California or Mexico right now (probably), so for a few weeks, this is a collection of all my favourite questions I’ve thought of in the last year and bit since I started this blog. You have the answers to everything you want to know (about the world or about yourself) inside of you, all it takes is to ask yourself the right question. And sometimes, the simpler, or stupider, the question, the better it is and the deeper it gets to the answer you want. Go on, ask yourself these questions. See what happens.

Put your hand on your heart. Feel that? (You do, right?) Is there anything more fucking remarkable than biological life, and all its processes?

The fact that that heart of your pumps blood, over and over and over and over and over… That is freaking incredible. Why do it? I don’t know. But it’s fucking amazing.

Why is there ‘life’? Can you think of anything more fucking remarkable than biological life in itself?

Imagine a world where there is no life. Now put back all the life that exists on this planet. Why is it there? What is the purpose of all that life?

I’m just going to guess here, but probably to live. That is your one purpose, just like every other living organism, and all the trillions and trillions that have come before you, and will come after you.

And on that, how does this thing, and its heart exist?
