We tend to remember bad memories more than than the good ones… or they’re at least more vivid and more powerful.
So when we swear and use cuss words do we subconsciously bring those memories back in our mind? Yeah, so there are good times, when the odd ‘Fuck yeah’ but without knowing it, does it bring back the connection to when we heard it a bad, violent (or worse) situation?
It might be one of those things that we don’t know yet, or even if it’s significant, but whatever, swearing less is a positive thing to try to do. Not swearing when other words can be used. And it helps us to describe things better. The positives far outweigh the negatives whichever you look at it.
