It’s about time! Finally women in sport are getting their dues and Nike has just proved it. The international sports giant has just released an ad campaign with US Womens Soccer Superstar Megan Rapinoe that calls for equal treatment of men and women in sport. Named ‘DISRESPECT’, the new sleuth of ads aim to level the playing field and encourage the equal treatment of men and women, both on and off the field.
What took so long!
Expect to see these ads online, on billboards or at stadiums all across the world in the coming weeks. I don’t know about you but we are thrilled, and can’t wait to see fans, team owners, leagues and the media treating women footballers just like men!
